Nah, I don't think I'd be good at it any longer. I'd need practice, strength and dexterity. As far as being Rachmaninoff on a squeeze box, that would be a very tall order. Truth be told, there aren't any current famous accordionists. Lawrence Welk and his band's accordionist Myron Floren were the last "famous" names I remember from the mid 1960's.
Actually now that you made me think about it, I looked up my old accordion teacher, Anthony Galla-Rini. I used to take lessons from him in Hollywood. He also taught Myron Floren. He died recently at age 102.
